Each chapter assigns an IConnect Representative to report chapter activities on a monthly basis to the State Vice President of Member Engagement.  Participating chapters who achieved the following status will receive:

Bronze - Recognition in the program and at the Opening Session of the ILCDC Opening Session.

Silver - Recognition at the Banquet at ILCDC, a certificate of achievement, nametag recognition ribbons, social media recognition, a recognition ribbon to wear at state, and a special Silver level sticker for each chapter member.

Gold - Recognition at the Banquet at ILCDC, certificates of achievement for chapter and iConnect rep, social media recognition, nametag ribbon recognition, a special Gold level sticker for each chapter members, a recognition ribbon to wear at state, AND reserved seating at the Closing Session

To register as a chapter representative, please complete this form which also asks for your chapter president's name and contact information. Please use a personal email rather than school.

Our second council meeting, Momentum Makers: Fueling Fundraising and Community Impact, will be held on December 16th at 7:00pm. This meeting will focus on the power of fundraising for your chapter, connecting with the MDA, and ways you can advocate for CTE. Fill out the form linked below before the day of the event. You will receive an email with the link to the council.

New this year, ILDECA is providing Leadership Academy Recognition. To qualify for this award, you must attend three of the four councils before ILCDC. All recipients will receive an additional ribbon to wear at the state competition

Social Media Team

The Illinois DECA State Officer Team is extremely excited to find our new Social Media Team  this year, and we can't wait to begin coming up with awesome campaigns and posts. The Social Media Team will play a huge role in how we connect IL DECA, so we want to hear about your unique and creative ideas on how we can improve our social media.

The application is due October 31, 2024. Once we have tentatively chosen the team, we will be sending an email to your advisor to confirm and approve your application.

We ask that you upload an edited graphic, flyer, video, etc that is representative of your graphic design or filmographic talents, but we recognize that not everyone will have experience in doing so. Nevertheless, we ask for your best effort, regardless of which position you may end up choosing.
