Councils are held monthly at 7:00 pm and will last approximately 45 minutes. These sessions are available to all members and cover topics ranging from leading philanthropy efforts, roleplay tips from ICDC winners, and Kahoots!

Please register by clicking the link below. Members will receive a Google Meet link for the meeting and must submit the form at least one hour before the meeting to ensure they'll receive the link.

ILDECA is providing Leadership Academy Recognition again this year. To qualify for this award, you must attend four of the five councils before ILCDC. All recipients will receive an additional ribbon to wear at the state competition.

Competitive Events

As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA’s flagship evaluation process involves students in both a written component such as an exam or report and an interactive component with an industry professional serving as a judge. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career ready when they graduate from high school.
