Illinois DECA ~ State Career Development Conference

The State Career Development Conference is where the real DECA magic begins. Students enjoy dances, karaoke and time at the hotel as they prepare for the state’s competition. A gateway to the International Competition, SCDC introduces members to a higher level of competition, as they test their knowledge of economics, mathematics, and how to handle themselves in business situations. The SCDC is a “can't miss amazing Illinois DECA experience”.

The form for Attendance, Emergency, Dress and Conduct Code was also used for the SEC. If your student completed this form at that time, and the information has not changed, then you may use the form for this conference; but you do need to complete the Verification Form again.

Fees / Housing Cost

Registration Fee: $ 80.00

Room per night includes tax:

Single, Double, Triple, Quad - $ 125.00

Rollaway: $ 15.00

Note: The “Registration Form” (due February 1, 2010) is a new Excel form. All events are listed separately and all you need to do is download the form and type all information under the appropriate event. There are 4 sheets in the Excel document. The first one is is an information sheet and advisor registration area, the second one is for all competency based events, the third one is for all the written events and the fourth one is for Quiz Bowl and the 4 Principle Events for first year DECA members.. If you have any questions regarding this form please call Joan at 630.991.6177.

If you plan to bring a spouse or family member to the conference there is no charge for them, unless you want them to attend the pizza party & banquet. Please let me know so that a name tag can be made for them. A charge of $25 per person will cover the pizza & banquet for a spouse or family member.
