Membership is the heart and soul of Illinois DECA.  Your organization needs you and others like you to help us grow by increasing our numbers in order to increase participation at I-CDC.  As a result Illinois DECA wants to make every Illinois Chapter a “SUPERSTAR Chapter”!  You can help by building a “Superstar Chapter” at your school – don’t be left out!

The 2009 – 2010 Superstar Chapters will receive recognition at our state conference and all chapter members will receive a “star” on their name badge.  To be eligible your chapter must meet one of the following qualifications listed below under criteria.

Criteria for SUPERSTAR Chapter status:

1. A 5% membership increase over the previous year.
2. Chapters with membership >100 must increase membership by at least 2 members.
3. OR, 100% chapter membership (regardless of number).

If you don’t see your membership listed for this year it means one/or all of the following have not been received:

1. State & National dues have not been received by National DECA
2. The yearly Charter fee has not been paid to Illinois DECA
3. The State Summary & Membership List forms have not been received by Illinois DECA / Membership form was not signed by your principal.
4. There are problems with names missing on Student Membership or not submitted to National DECA for membership.
